Michael started his writing career at Chicago's famed Second City. Once his tenure there ended, he continued writing sketch comedy and performing improvisation at ImprovOlympic. Along the way, he teamed up with writing partner, Randy Gordon. Together they have written several screenplays, including Windmill Warriors which was a finalist in the Long Beach International Film Festival.
Besides continually working on the next great screenplay, Michael has adapted several Anime cartoons, including Bottle Fairy, the pilot for Pretty Cure, and Volume One of the hit series Noein. Recently, he's been working on Digimon D.S. He also adapted the feature film Cave of Yellow Dog.
Michael and Randy also teamed up to create the short film Dinner with Fival - an animated look at the trials and tribulations of being a cartoon mouse, an homage to Jon Favreau's Dinner for Five. It was shown at several film festivals across the country.
Last year, Michael teamed with Sole Films to produce the independent film Greener. He has been an integral part of the film from its inception through post production. Greener is the story of three lifelong friends who find their lives turned upside down as adults. The film will be ready to hit festivals this fall.
